Alfred Hitchcock brought the world many things, great storytelling, mystery, suspense, but my favorite would be his iconic "Ice Blonde." This fabulous lady has it all. Her grace, poise and clothes have inspired many throughout the years. Tippi Hedren embodied this perfectly in her role as Melanie Daniels in 'The Birds' (1963). Melanie is a beautiful, rich socialite who meets her handsome costar in a San Francisco pet shop. He, as is the standard, manages to make her aquaintance and then infuriate her. She tracks him down the Avian Adventures begin.
