Theodora Love

Happy Friday to all my lovely readers!  I am so excited that it's already time for a couple of days off!  I'm in the home stretch of getting Jake's 1st Birthday Celebration ready.  In the next week, we'll be making a really awesome Woody-inspired cowboy cake and all the fun decor to accompany it.  I can't wait for him to wear his cute cowboy boots and finest bandana!

In the mean time, I couldn't resist getting something for myself!  Those who know me, know how obsessed with beauty products I am.  There's a special place in my heart for eye shadow palettes.  You can always count on Urban Decay to come up with a fabulous color collection.  When I heard about their palettes inspired by the witches in the new Disney film 'Oz The Great and Powerful,' I knew I had to have it!

I'm so excited about 'Theodora.'  It is inspired by Mila Kunis' character in the film, and the colors are amazing!

Eye shadows: Broken (pale cream satin), Beware (warm brown matte), Bewitch (dark
charcoal brown satin), West (deep metallic brown), Spell (2 shades in 1: black satin w/green
and gold shimmer and gold metallic w/tonal glitter) and Jealous (2 shades in 1: pale green
pearl and dark green pearl). Eye Pencil: black. Lip Color: Theodora (bright red cream).

I loved the Create the Look cards that came with the palette.  The shadows are highly pigmented and look great on.  The picture really doesn't do it justice, in my opinion!  I will probably have to get the 'Glinda' palette too, as these wonderful collections from Urban Decay never last long.  I'm still bummed about forgetting to pick up their wonderful Alice in Wonderland inspired palette a couple years back!

What are your favorite make up collections?  Have any of you tried this palette yet?  What are your thoughts?

Emerald City

I don't know about you guys, but this week has been the hardest yet!  I just can't seem to get back in my normal routine.  I'm definitely ready for the weekend to get here, just so I can play catch up.  Wednesday has always been a highlight of my week, but Shanna just makes them that much better!

Today I'm linking up with my girl Shanna at Because Shanna Said So for Random Wednesday...

I'm excited because this post is dedicated to my most favorite color, green!  You can only imagine how excited I was when Pantone named Emerald Green the Color of the Year for 2013.  Nothing is more elegant than emeralds that are accented with gold.  Here's a few of my favorite pieces that sparked some inspiration for me!  I hope you love them too!

Favorite Things Thursday

Welcome to my weekly list of My Favorite Things.  I feel like Thursday is an appropriate day for this post, because the day is kind of a tease.  Not quite Friday, and not even close to the weekend!  I'm definitely ready for something fun at this point in my week, that's for sure!

1.  The first item that I'm currently obsessed with, is the Nimes Cable Cuff Bracelet from Swell Caroline.  At just $29, the price is as great as the chic addition to any arm party!  If you haven't checked out Swell Caroline, please do!  They have a wonderful selection!

2.  I'm also quite taken with the Havana Clutch in "Cerise" from J.Crew.  It is the perfect bag to have this summer.  Bright and light, it adds no fuss to an outfit.  ($88, JCrew.com)

3.  The perfect addition to your make-up bag, Guerlain Khol Kajal in Blu Acqua is wonderful!  It adds that final touch to complete a great smokey eye!  ($36 Nordstrom.com)

4. Another great bracelet that I've totally fallen for, is the Alexander McQueen Swarovski crystal double-skull bracelet.  It is stunning!  ($330, Net-A-Porter)

5.  My final pick this week, is the return of 70's rocker flared denim!  I know we've all been enjoying the skinnies these last few months, but it'll be nice to get back to our roots for a little while!  Here's a few styles I'm loving right now!  And just so you know, it is never appropriate to wear cropped flares.  I've seen this in a few online shops recently, and it's quite disturbing.  Common sense, people!
