Sunday Social 6/23/13

        I had to call this post something, and it should be more like "Good Lord, where have I been?!"  Seriously, my only excuse can be that my life got in the way and I'm going to do better!  

       I figured what better way to get back into the swing of things than by joining Ashley and Neely for their weekly Sunday Social link up?  I love those ladies and they are great, so if you haven't already, check them out!!!

Here's the questions for this week:
1.  What is your favorite store to shop at?
I love Target, of course.  I also adore J.Crew, Nordstrom, Forever 21, Loft, and Anthropologie.  
2.  If you could afford anything and everything, which designer brand would you covet?
I don't think I can say only one!  I love Tory Burch, Louis Vuitton, Alice + Olivia, and anything by the late, great Alexander McQueen!!!

3.  What is your must-have closet staple?
A great pair of riding boots, skinny jeans and a classic blazer!

4.  What is your favorite kind of shoes?  (Brand or Type)
I live for anything by Frye.  They are great and super comfortable.   I'm already looking forward to fall so I can get my boots and leggings back out!

5.  What is the best clothing deal you have ever gotten?  (Sale or amazing find)
Can we just say that it happened very recently?  My mom finally handed over her awesome Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 from the late 80's.  It's literally in perfect condition and will be loved by me forever!  
Ahhhhhhh!

6. What is a style that you'd love to try?  
I'm loving all the fun printed pants I've seen all season!  Nothing screams summer like they do!!!  These from Nordstrom are pricey, but are great inspiration for your awesome look!!!

Back to Work!

It's hard to believe Christmas was almost 2 weeks ago!  Getting back into the swing of things is always tough, but it's also nice to get everything back to normal and then start preparing for our next celebration.  I've got a month to get Jake's birthday party planned.  I'm starting to freak out a little bit, but I know it'll all come together.  

Today I wanted to show you a few things that I've been loving since we unwrapped gifts.  I don't think it's ever too early for making a wish list, just because.  

1.  Terrain Fastened Wood Candle Stand, Small / 2. Anthropologie Chevron Sparkle Bracelet / 3. Fawnsberg Simple Stamp

The fastened wood candle stands from Terrain are such a nice addition for any centerpiece.  They add just the right amount of a rustic touch.  Aren't they great?

This bracelet will be in my jewelry box!  I think it is so glamorous and would be perfect for a viewing party of 'The Great Gatsby!'  

(P.S. You need to be warned that my obsession with ALL things F.Scott is going to be at a fever pitch by the time May 10th gets here.)

How awesome is that address stamp from Fawnsberg?  I love that there is such a resurgence  of hand-written style typography going on these days!  It is wonderful that so many artists have the opportunity to show off their talents.  The simple elegance of this stamp makes it a must-have!
